My Haute Obsession: An Introduction

I See You

I've been working with women of all shapes, sizes, skin tones, personalities, temperaments, and style for over a decade now.  As a custom clothing designer and art photographer, I am able to create beautiful stories through a lens influenced by the many unique women who have inspired me.

The State of Being a Woman

Because I am fortunate enough to work with so many amazing clients, I've become captivated by what it means to be a complete woman; what it takes to really know the feminine creature within ourselves.  I've been to workshops, conferences, energy gurus, tantric circles, goddess retreats, psychologists, and anything and everything relating to the creative.  I continue to search out for more enlightenment to share.

I've learned that we are sensitive, strong, emotional, level-headed, crazy, happy, sad, angry, nurturing, frustrated, and fluid beings.  We are mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and wives. We are employers, employees, givers, takers, and friends.  We can be especially supportive, and equally eager to scratch each others eyes out. We are beautiful. It is exhausting, yet exquisite to own such complexity.

Helping my clients to compose their own complicated, delicate, and exquisite adventures in the story I call womanhood has become an obsession--my haute obsession.

Haute is Hot!

The French word "haute" means "high;" made with high standards. Its proper pronunciation is "ote," but many non-French speakers will pronounce it "hot."  Because of this, I find the French word a perfect way to introduce my blog. While I create with the highest standards and quality that defines "haute," I find that not being so serious about life, allowing for a faux pas here and there, is the best way to enjoy it.

From my experience in fashion, photography, style, and design, to my love of travel, writing and explorations that often have me stepping out of my personal comfort zone, I hope to bring a fresh perspective to how you, too, can create and live an "haute" story of your own--all while seeing and embracing the joys and hiccups that may happen along the way.

Tell me your story.

Coltrane
